Going with the flow

There has been a lot of fast-flowing through Mesopotamia, Oxford, England in recent days.
It's a bit mesmerising watching fast-flowing water.  
At pressure points the flow looks dense and static, like a chunky piece of Lalique glass or a Chinese sculpture in jade.
